
Membership Benefits
Oklahoma Museums Association is the professional membership organization for museum staff, volunteers, board members and other Oklahomans who have an interest in museums. OMA invites you to get involved by becoming a member.
Who should join?
Museum professionals at all levels (paid and volunteer) are encouraged to join. This includes executives, directors, managers, development officers, exhibit and program developers, educators, curators, collections managers, registrars, archivists, museum store managers, visitor services managers, board members, volunteers, students interested in museum careers, and others.
Institutions also are encouraged to join. OMA is the primary provider of training and information to Oklahoma's 300+ museums, historical societies, historic sites, zoos and botanical gardens, historic houses, living history museums, tribal cultural centers, and other related entities.

Individual Members
Members $25 and Students $15
Students must be full-time and submit copy of current student id card. Members and students receive the following standard member benefits:

Subscription to quarterly newsletter MuseNEWS; discount on seminar, workshop and conference fees; two tickets to networking M!X events; eligibility to apply for scholarships; access to lending library resources; subscription to OMA's elist for immediate notice of grant opportunities, job openings, upcoming seminars and other important information. Also, a window decal; voting privileges and eligibility to serve on OMA board of directors and committees; complimentary copies of past technical bulletins; eligibility to nominate individuals for the Service to the Profession award as part of the annual awards program; eligibility to join standing professional committees; and state and national representation on issues of concern to museums.
Treasure $50
Standard benefits plus 10% discount coupon on one OMA seminar or workshop registration.
Classic $100
Treasure benefits plus two extra tickets to M!X events.
Gem $175
Classic benefits plus special recognition in the MuseNEWS newsletter for one year (four issues).
Masterpiece $250
Gem benefits plus reserved VIP seating at the Annual Luncheon and Awards Ceremony at regular ticket price.
Institutional Members
Institutional members receive the above listed Standard Member Benefits plus eligibility to enter all annual awards program categories; free placement of job announcements and museum links on the OMA Web site. One representative from the institution may attend OMA seminars, workshops and the Annual Fall Conference at the discounted member rate.
Institutional membership is figured at .0005 x total annual operating budget. Minimum institutional membership is $35 and maximum is $500.
