Oklahoma Hall of Fame at Gaylord-Pickens Museum – Application Deadline: Open until filled

Founded in 1927 to honor Oklahoma’s best and brightest and provide education programming for all ages, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, headquartered in the Gaylord-Pickens Museum in Oklahoma City, currently is accepting applications for the position of Educator In Residence for the summer of 2018.

This eight to ten-week position will be responsible for evaluating the Free Field Trip program for its correlation to and support of current third-grade classroom curriculum; creating content to support Oklahoma’s PASS Objectives in multiple subjects; and providing educators valuable resources to support their efforts in the classroom.

Applicants must:

  • Hold an active teaching certificate in the State of Oklahoma.
  • Be in good standing with an Oklahoma school district (public or private).
  • Provide a letter describing the contributions you would make in this position and the experiences and successes you would bring to the team as a whole.
  • Provide letter of recommendation from school administration.
  • Possess strong communication, presentation, and critical thinking skills.
  • Be familiar with Oklahoma’s PASS Objectives and OKCPS standards.
  • Possess experience in curriculum development.
  • Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Strengths for Consideration Include:

  • A strong understanding of STEAM literacy. (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics)
  • Local, regional, or national awards in teaching are strongly desired.
  • A willingness to facilitate professional development workshops, seminars, and courses.

This is a paid residency with travel reimbursement.
