The Jim Thorpe Museum & Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame is a non-profit charitable organization that encourages excellence in sports, academics, health and fitness; preserves our sports heritage and builds pride and positive lifestyles in the spirit of Native American legend Jim Thorpe.

The Jim Thorpe Museum & Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame is seeking a part-time Museum Technician. This is an entry-level professional position. This position will work under the Museum Curator, and assist with the management and operations of the Jim Thorpe Museum & Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame. Duties will include collections management, gallery management and maintenance, assisting with exhibit rotations, participating in and conducting education programs, guiding tour groups, and assisting with facilities management.

Qualifications/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in museum studies, history, art history, American Studies or related field preferred the ability to work in a professional environment, excellent organizational skills, computer literacy skills, preferred Past Perfect experience. The candidate must possess effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively manage volunteers. Part-Time Permanent position (25-hours-per-week) $10.00 per-hour Tuesday-Saturday (Must be able to work Saturday)
