Posted by OMA on 10/30/2013

The American Alliance of Museums has assembled a report to showcase some of the important ways that museums are contributing to health care—helping patients, training medical professionals and educating the public about health and wellness issues. The report provides an introduction to 10 aspects of the health care field in which museums are making significant contributions: Alzheimer’s, autism, disease prevention, health literacy, hospital outreach, medical training, mental health, military and veterans health, nutrition and wellness and visual impairment.  Listed in the report are the Oklahoma City Museum or Art and the Oklahoma WONDERtorium.  More Information Here
