The Oklahoma Archives Bazaar (https://okarchivists.com/upcoming-events/oklahoma-archives-bazaar/) is a FREE fun event open to the general public and appropriate for all ages. At the center of the event are booths from archives, libraries, and museums from across the state sharing amazing collections, expertise, and services in one big room! Our goal is to raise awareness about the wonderful resources available to educators, students, genealogists, history buffs, and anyone who likes “old stuff.”

Goals are:

  • Help individuals navigate “where the stuff is” based on their interests or research direction
  • To raise awareness and deepen engagement with diverse cultural resources that are freely available to the public
  • Provide education on caring for personal treasured historical material
  • Provide archive themed activities and programming for a broad audience

The Oklahoma Archives Bazaar is organized by the Oklahoma Archivists Association (OAA), a statewide non-profit group of professional archivists.

  • The Oklahoma Archives Bazaar will take place Saturday, October 28, 2017, 11am-3pm @ The Oklahoma History Center.
  • This is the inaugural Archives Bazaar in Oklahoma and hopes to make this an annual celebration of archives and history.
