Museum Development Directors Roundtable on August 6

Posted on 05/01/2009

The Oklahoma Museums Association is planning the second annual Development Directors Networking Roundtable and professional development opportunity.  Hold the date for Thursday, August 6th from noon - 1:30pm.  Lunch will be served!  Thanks to Mary Lurry for hosting the roundtable at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

Since OMA understands that larger museums need advanced professional development on the topic of fundraising, OMA has secured such a speaker.  Alan Muehlenweg will do a presentation on E-philanthropy and Social Media Marketing. Alan is the President and CEO of Equip Research and Consulting.  He is one of a few marketers in Oklahoma to hold his Professional Research Certification from the Market Research Association.  Alan has spent the entirety of his career on the “agency” side of marketing, which has provided him a breadth of experience across industries and organizations.  Alan was born and raised in Oklahoma.  Alan states “I have a passion to see Oklahoma do great things.  I’m proud to be from a state that was the birthplace of so many innovative people and world-changing ideas.  It is a privilege to be in this marketplace and to be helping Oklahoma companies and organizations find their enlightened moments!”

Museum Development Directors interested in attending the roundtable should contact the OMA office at 405.424.7757.
