Museum Marketing Roundtable on May 3

The Oklahoma Museums Association and the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art are hosting a Museum Marketing Roundtable on Monday, May 3rd from 1:00pm-4:00pm at the FJJMOA in Norman.  This meeting will be a time when Oklahoma museums can network, share and learn from a marketing expert, Sam Sims, APR. 

Sam has over 12 years of public relations experience where he has realized successes in communication planning, development, media relations and crisis situations. As a featured speaker at conferences and association meetings for more than 10 years, Sam shares his knowledge of communications strategies and techniques within emerging technologies. Sam is committed to growing and developing his community, where he serves a Board Member of the Oklahoma City Philharmonic, Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park and Harn Homestead &1889ers Museum. Sam is also a marketing committee member for the Arts Council of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City Beautiful and for the United Way of Central Oklahoma.

The Museum Marketing Roundtable is free and open to all Oklahoma museums who are interested in expanding their audience.  The roundtable will be presented in an informal conversational format and all are welcome to attend.  Registration is required and can be made by emailing sodaniel@okmuseums.org by April 23.  Thank you to the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art for hosting this first time roundtable.  Attendees are encouraged to bring ideas to share and questions for the speaker.
