Oklahoma Museums Association Receives Grant from the Oklahoma City Community Foundation
Increased membership will allow OMA to continue to expand and improve as the primary provider of museum related programming and training, by reaching more Oklahoma museums, and having additional revenues to support OMA programming. These programs offered by OMA are an important source of professional development training and information to Oklahoma's museums and cultural institutions. OMA offers programs and services that meet the following goals: 1) provide professional services to Oklahoma museums; 2) build networks among members and between OMA and potential partnering agencies and organizations; 3) promote professional growth among museum staff and volunteers; 4) encourage public awareness of the value of museums, and 5) serve as an advocate throughout the state on behalf of museums. These goals help OMA fulfill its mission to support Oklahoma museums in their efforts to educate, inform and entertain. Increased membership will allow OMA to better serve the Oklahoma museum community.
For membership information, or information on OMA programs and services, visit http://www.okmuseums.org/ or call 405.424.7757.
