Announcing Preservation Assessment Grants for Oklahoma Historical Records Collections – Museums are encouraged to apply

Deadline for Applications: Friday, 5 pm, September 16, 2022

The Oklahoma Department of Libraries is pleased to announce two opportunities to apply to receive a preservation assessment for historical records collections in Oklahoma libraries, archives, and museums.

Up to 6 organizations, with annual budgets of $100,000 or less, may be selected to receive an overall collections preservation assessment that will include a site visit by a preservation consultant who will work to develop a written collections assessment plan that will help prioritize collections care activities.

Through a separate application process 4 organizations may be selected to receive a specialized preservation assessment for their oral history collections. There is no annual budget restriction for this application.

Organizations may apply for both assessment grants.

This project is sponsored by the Oklahoma Historical Records Advisory Board, which is administered by the Oklahoma Department of Libraries and funded by the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.
