Presenter bio:
Rita Deedrick has nearly 30 years’ experience in the museum field with specialization in evaluation capacity building as well as the development and evaluation of informal learning experiences. Rita began her career in the Education Department of COSI in Columbus, Ohio, supporting program development and fundraising. Rita developed the first formal program evaluation function at COSI, and in 2011, became the inaugural Director of the COSI Center for Research and Evaluation, a first-of-its-kind social science research and consulting center imbedded in a museum. Rita began volunteering with MuseumExpert.org in 2020, helping the fledgling organization find its footing in a fast-changing world. Rita left COSI in 2021 to pursue her passion for lifelong learning as an independent consultant.
