Intern Duration
Summer, May-July, 2019 (flexible time frame). Flexible schedule will be discussed during interview.

The Education Program Internship at Philbrook Museum of Art will provide exposure to administrative duties and experience with museum education practice. The intern will assist members of the Education Department in organizing data, touring, and studio materials. The intern will gain experience assisting and facilitating programs for a variety of audiences. The intern will apply newly gained skills in the development and implementation of intergenerational programming. Education Program Intern must exhibit professional communication with co-workers, as well as be comfortable with speaking to museum visitors and community members.  Must be comfortable working independently and with others.

Requirements

  • Upper level undergraduate or graduate students
  • Experience and comfort in working with a variety of people and ages
  • Complete intern application and in-person interview
  • Complete background check

Availability Requirements
Hours and workdays are flexible, fulfilling 15-20 hours per week. Schedule will be determined with the Education Department based on candidates’ availability.
