2019 Internship: Exhibitions Department

Internships at Philbrook Museum of Art provide exposure, research, and on-the-job training to undergraduate or graduate students interested in pursuing museum-related careers. Exhibitions Interns gain practical experience working directly with the Collection and Exhibitions and Curatorial staff. Interns assist with daily operations involving exhibition archives, exhibition organization, research, and various administrative tasks. Interns' daily tasks may include typing, filing, participation in departmental activities, use of collections management software, and special projects. Interns are encouraged to explore topics of personal interest and work with his/her supervisor to create personalized learning opportunities. They will also be responsible for exhibition data collection and entry.

Hours are flexible, with a minimum of 7 hours a week from October–December 2019.

Applicants must be current undergraduate students in arts management, art history, humanities, anthropology, and/or museum studies are preferred. Candidates should have excellent research and organization skills, and be detail oriented.
