Summer, May-July, 2019 (flexible time frame). Scheduling will be discussed during interview.

The Foundation Relations Internship at Philbrook Museum of Art will provide exposure to development best practices, grant processes, and experience in conducting grant-making prospect research for undergraduate juniors, seniors, or graduate students. The Foundation Relations intern will provide administrative support to the Development department, including database entry, donor correspondence, and general filing. The intern will work directly with the Development Officer, Foundation and Government Relations to identify, research, and catalog grant-making prospects for upcoming exhibitions, education programs, and other funding opportunities. This intern will draft narratives for grant applications and reports. There will also be occasional opportunities to funders in conjunction with the Development Officer. Philbrook encourages practical training which enhances the academic program.


  • Current undergraduate juniors, seniors, or graduate students only. 
  • Complete intern application, in-person interview, and background check required.

Availability Requirements
Hours and workdays are flexible, fulfilling 15-20 hours per week. Intern schedule will be determined by the Development Officer of Foundation and Government Relations based on candidates availability.
