Job Description

  • Management and coordination of curatorial duties for curatorial assistants, interns, volunteers and 999’s as needed.
  • The position is responsible for applying appropriate curatorial practices and techniques to OHS collections in all areas of collections management.
  • The position is responsible for assessing potential donations and providing appropriate access to collections for study and relevant cultural practices. 
  • The position provides support and assistance as and when needed to general museum and History Center functions, programs, and events. 
  • The position must have a strong general knowledge of best practices and appropriate museum practices in standards of collections care and management.

Education and Experience
Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of two years of public contact work or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting 30 semester hours of college course work for each year of the required experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include skill in communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.
