Intern Duration
Summer, May-July, 2019 (flexible time frame). Flexible schedule will be discussed during interview.

The Library and Archives Internship at Philbrook Museum of Art will provide exposure to research skills and the underlying principles and methodologies for library collection development and processing. The intern will be working on a variety of organization projects within the H.A. and Mary K. Chapman Library at Philbrook. Projects may include creating resource lists, research recent publications, and creating purchase recommendation lists about selected artists represented in the Philbrook Museum of Art collection. Philbrook encourages practical training which enhances the academic program.

Requirements

  • Current undergraduate students working towards a Bachelor’s degree in preferred fields: Art History, History, English or related field.
  • Complete intern application, in-person interview, and background check are required.

Availability Requirements
Hours and workdays are flexible, fulfilling up to 5 hours per week.  Intern schedule will be determined by the Librarian based on candidates’ availability.
