POSITION SUMMARY
The Member and Donor Engagement Specialist is responsible for servicing the needs of Gilcrease’s members while also developing donor acquisition strategies to engage various constituents in the life of the museum. The Member and Donor Engagement Specialist reports to the Senior Director of Development and is responsible for generating $500,000 in annual revenue through various channels and campaigns by increasing the number of gifts and donors supporting the museum.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES
The position serves as the primary point of contact for donor inquiries, providing high-level customer service to individual, corporate and foundation donors at all levels. This team member develops cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship activities for new and existing constituents, and identifies current and prospective donors for increased giving. Through the creation and execution of an integrated multi-channel communications strategy (direct mail, email, and digital) the successful candidate will generate new and recurring annual gifts to reach established goals in coordination with colleagues in marketing, programming and curatorial, as well as museum volunteers, to create appropriate engagement strategies to expand the base of support for the museum. The Member and Donor Engagement Specialist will manage an annual Membership budget and develop targeted events in support of cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, business or related field; proficiency with various technology applications, creative approach to problem solving, careful budget development and management, project management, proactive, analytical and results-oriented mindset, ability to collaborate within and across departments and manage multiple priorities, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to routinely analyze and report results, an outgoing personality and service-oriented mentality inside and outside the organization; proficient in PC or Mac software applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and virtual platforms; ability to work nights and weekends as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of fundraising experience for a museum, other membership-based organization or higher education is preferred. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of data base management/administration, digital platforms and familiarity with Tessitura, Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system is beneficial. Foundation in marketing principles and audience research desired.
