Membership & Marketing Manager
Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition – Application Deadline: March 1, 2022

Position:
The Membership & Marketing Manager oversees membership services, marketing initiatives, and Artist Survival Kit programs for the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition (OVAC) and is a key team member of the staff. This position is full-time and year-round, located at the OVAC office in Oklahoma City. The work day is 9am to 5pm with flexible hours, and regular evening and weekend activities. Some in-state travel is required. The Membership & Marketing Manager reports to the Executive Director.

Duties and Expectations:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage all aspects of membership processing and services with an acute attention to detail
  • Serve as the main contact point for member relations, representing OVAC with top level
  • customer service
  • Organize and coordinate the Annual Members’ Meeting each year
  • Plan and coordinate the Annual Member Directory and Resource Guide each year
  • Maintain and manage the database regarding OVAC Membership ensuring thorough
  • membership records
  • Plan, promote, and execute membership drives (aka Membership May)
  • Website maintenance of OVAC’s website and management of Artist Gallery and Marketplace
  • website pages
  • Manage all aspects of social media, marketing, and web presence, including creating social media
  • graphics, writing and sending press releases, coordinating media stories and interviews,
  • and maintaining a marketing plan and calendar
  • Manage and plan all aspects of the Artist Survival Kit program including selecting speakers,
  • creating Facebook/Zoom/Eventbrite events, and hosting the events
  • Serve as office manager to coordinate bulk mailings, manage office equipment, and
  • order office supplies
  • Program assistance as needed

  • Proficiency in desktop publishing, word processing, email, social media and database programs
  • Love for the arts

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for long periods of time
  • Ability to drive with reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in art, art history, nonprofit administration, or related degree
  • 1-2 years of experience in arts administration or a similar working environment
  • Arts education experience or interest
  • Fluent in Spanish

Compensation:
Salary is $35,000 to $40,000, dependent on experience. Benefits include vacation, sick leave, matching retirement program, and health insurance. Employee will receive training as needed. Employees are encouraged to seek outside professional development.
