SKELETONS Museum of Osteology is looking for the next member of our Education Team. This should be someone who has a personal or professional interest in wildlife, education, STEM, osteology, and/or lifelong learning. The education team assists in enriching the experience of museum guests, students and teachers during field trips, and guests attending special events at the museum. We are looking for someone with weekend availability.

Position Title: Museum Assistant

Full Time & Part Time Opportunity

Hourly: $11.00

Job Duties

  • Following the Education Curriculum for each program for grades Pre-K-12th grade, as well as university level programming.
  • Teaching educational programs, guided tours, and special events (birthday parties & special classes)
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, group leaders, and student participants of all ages.
  • Complete all background checks, fingerprinting requirements, and risk management requirements for on-site and off-site field trips.
  • Communicating with the Education Director about needs, changes, and program performance.
  • Traveling to local school districts and community to promote the museum.
  • Staffing and enhancing presence at educational based trade shows while collecting leads and/or selling tickets.
  • Keeping a daily activity and leads log.
