The Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum
Seminole, Oklahoma is seeking a President/CEO

The Jasmine Moran Children’s Museum (JMCM) in Seminole, Oklahoma, invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of President/CEO.  JMCM is seeking only its third President/CEO in twenty-nine years.  JMCM is known as a leader in the area of a child’s museum experience.  The museum features interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits.  These exhibits provide opportunities for children to explore a variety of potential careers.

Primary Responsibilities
Develop and oversee the maintenance of exhibits, programs, and events of the museum.  Develop an efficient daily management operational plan, delegate work, and cultivate a workplace environment that promotes a team-based approach with the staff.  Related duties include hiring of staff, staff development, and determining benefits.   Currently, the staff includes ten full-time and six part-time employees.  Develop and maintain a budget which covers the operations of the museum.  Provide documentation for the annual audit.  Communicate accurate and timely reports to the Executive Board and conduct quarterly meetings with the Executive Board and semi-annual meetings with the Board of Trustees.

Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Museum Studies, a related area, or commensurate experience.  Also, candidates should have at least three years experience with non-profits, fundraising, media/marketing, as well as donor, community, and Board member relations.  Experience with educational programs and exhibit development should also be noted.  

Financial Package;
A competitive financial package will be offered to the successful candidate that will include a base salary commensurate with the candidates experience and qualifications.  Other benefits will be discussed in the interview.  The candidate will be expected to live in the Seminole area and will be given sufficient time to accomplish this requirement. The success of JMCM has been due to the onsite leadership approach, our expectation is the successful candidate will continue this tradition.
