Internships at Philbrook Museum of Art will provide exposure, research, and on-the-job training to Event and Hospitality focused undergraduate or graduate students. Private Event interns will learn and practice professional communication, networking, and time management skills. Interns will work closely with museum staff, community vendors, and guests to complete event related tasks. Projects include, but are not limited to, updating the Philbrook Events Pinterest, organizing internal collections of Philbrook event images, finding and securing Philbrook event images from community vendors, administrative tasks, and shadowing the Events Coordinator during private events. Philbrook encourages practical training which enhances the academic program.

Intern Duration
Summer semester, May- July, 2019.  Flexible schedule; will be discussed when interviewed.

Requirements
Current undergraduate or graduate students, Event/Hospitality student preferred.  Computer skills, social media skills, organization skills, and professional communication skills are necessary. Complete intern application, in-person interview, and background check required.

Availability Requirements
Hours and work days are flexible, with a minimum of 10 to 20 hours per week. Intern schedule will be set upon availability to include private and/or special events as needed.
