Position Overview
In this position, you will be responsible for the coordination and implementation of a portfolio of large long-term and short-term concurrent projects including seasonal festivals and programs, music and food-centered events, and specialty fundraisers in both a lead and supporting role. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates to identify and plan projects that will result in sustained increased earned revenue and attendance, and engagement of diverse audiences, funders, and partners. 
  • Assists in the development of individual project budgets, while setting appropriate revenue goals. 
  • Responsible for coordinating and implementing a portfolio of both long-and short-term projects.
  • Provides pro-active leadership of project teams for program implementation. 
  • Assists in the development of compelling sponsorship opportunities. 
  • Oversees the development of collateral materials to promote individual and corporate sponsorship, ticket sales, and in-kind donations. 
  • Responsible for research and analysis of competing and aspirational events. 
  • Builds strong relationships with colleagues, vendors, donors, and volunteers by communicating proactively and maintaining a professional demeanor and positive attitude.
  • Additional duties as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications
Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience with organizing and implementing special events to support organizational growth is preferred.
  • Previous non-profit experience within a museum setting is preferred.

The successful candidate has: 

  • The ability to research, identify, and maintain relationships with vendors and prospective in-kind donors.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on multiple concurrent projects independently and in group settings; with an aptitude to solve problems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare and deliver concise, understandable, and effective letters, proposal, reports, and presentations.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport, as well as build and maintain relationships with donors, trustees, members, volunteers, and staff. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
