- 60 minutes of pre-webcast networking and discussion relating to Oklahoma Museum Educators (OKME) Professional Interest Network. This will take place at the Oklahoma History Center and not available for those joining remotely,
- 60-minute live webcast by Dr. Falk
- 30 minutes of post-webcast facilitated discussion by OKME Chair, Rachel Kellum

Calling all museum educators! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 23rd from 2:00pm-4:30pm for the annual Oklahoma Museum Educators (OKME) meeting and program on Assessment in Museum Programs. We are excited to announce this year’s program will feature Dr. John H. Falk! Dr. Falk will be speaking to us from Oregon about assessment in museum programs. This will be an extremely unique opportunity to engage with a renowned expert in this field!
Dr. Falk is internationally acknowledged as a leading expert on free-choice learning and has published over 150 works in his field. He has held many positions in the museum and learning community, spending 14 years at the Smithsonian Institution and currently serving as the Director of the Institute for Learning Innovation and the Sea Grant Professor of Free-Choice Learning at Oregon State University. He has been awarded numerous prestigious awards including the American Alliance of Museums Education Committee’s highest honor, the John Cotton Dana Award for Leadership; the Distinguished Career Award for Research from NARST; and was recognized by American Alliance of Museums as one of the 100 most influential museum professionals of the past 100 years.
Please note the format is Virtual Classroom with Live Online Presentation. At the conclusion of his presentation to our group, he will answer questions or comments. The meeting will conclude with group discussion and sharing.
The program will be held at the Oklahoma History Center or you can participate from any location on your own computer, smartphone or tablet.
