Register for (virtual) Museums Advocacy Day by January 21

Posted by OMA on 12/13/2021

Registration is now open for the American Alliance of Museums (AAM) coordinated Museums Advocacy Day 2022 on February 28–March 1 which will be help virtually. You can advocate for museums anywhere!!

Over the course of the pandemic, the museum field has generated unparalleled levels of advocacy for museums. Museum advocates have sent more than 62,000 messages to Congress, created the largest Museums Advocacy Day yet with over 600 participants and over 400 virtual meetings with your legislators’ offices, and spurred action resulting in billions of dollars in financial relief that enabled many museums to survive and saved thousands of museum jobs. In 2022, we have the chance to capitalize on this energy for museums advocacy.

OMA is a proud partner in Museums Advocacy Day which allows all OMA members to register at the AAM Member rates when OMA members use the following promo codes:

  • Advocacy in Action: Advocacy Program and Congressional Meetings: OK22FR
  • Advocacy Program Without Congressional Meetings: OK22MON
