Oklahoma Museums Week | March 14-20
Governor J. Kevin Stitt has issued an Executive Proclamation declaring the week of March 14, 2021 as Oklahoma Museums Week. Download the proclamation here. You are encouraged to contact your legislators to convey how your museum serves the community in areas of the economy, education, overall quality of life and so much more. During Oklahoma Museums Week, OMA will be sending all Oklahoma legislators a list of museums in their district.
Many museums mistakenly believe that they are not allowed to advocate because they are nonprofits. This is simply not true. It is vital that Oklahoma legislators hear from you – their constituents – on the impact your museum makes in the community.
