It is time to start planning Septemberfest 2013! Septemberfest takes place on the grounds of the Governor’s Mansion and at the Oklahoma History Center. The date for this year’s event is Saturday, September 7, from 10:00am to 4:00pm. This annual event is designed to provide free entertainment and education to families on our state’s history, heritage, resources, and traditions. It is a great way for your museum to reach the citizens of Oklahoma.
Museums are invited to submit an educational activity proposal for this year’s Septemberfest. The goal of the Education Venue is to provide a wide variety of hands-on educational activities for children of all ages. Each institution will be responsible for setting up their area; tables will be set up the day before. Reimbursements will not be issued.
If you are interested in participating in the Septemberfest education venue, please fill out the survey by July 30 on your proposed activities. Complete this survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/septemberfest2013
