About the Organization/Business

Internal Description
Description – Internal
Will work with education staff to plan and facilitate natural history summer day camps for children ages 5-11. Will instruct and supervise campers in natural history content through activities, games, and crafts with the help of an assistant. Will oversee daily classroom set-up and clean-up and class preparation.

Qualifications – Internal
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree, AND:

24 months of experience teaching children in a classroom setting
Skills:

Interest in science and natural history education. Good positive classroom management skills
Able to work collaboratively or independently with minimal supervision
Good oral and written communication skills
Proactive and able to prioritize tasks independently
Advertised Physical Requirements:

Walking, working outside, able to lift 30 pounds, able to reach, bend and crouch.
Departmental Preferences:

Some coursework or experience in life science and/or natural history
Familiar with content on plants and animals, cultures, and prehistoric life
Familiar with the Sam Noble Museum’s exhibits
