Factory Obscura is an Oklahoma City-based collaborative company creating and operating immersive, interactive multimedia experiences that awaken wonder, build community, and support artists. Founded in 2017, our team includes artists, poets, musicians, writers, engineers, dancers, makers, and creators. Job Summary

Factory Obscura seeks a creative, enthusiastic, and capable candidate to join our team as Marketing Manager. This position will work collaboratively within a team to develop marketing campaigns, themes, and goals, while working independently to execute those plans. Must be organized, deadline-driven, and able to focus on the details while seeing the big picture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create annual strategies for marketing campaigns, with collaboration from team.
  • Implement marketing campaigns and strategies across a variety of platforms and tools, including: social media and other digital platforms, website, email newsletters, press releases, and other tools for communication.
  • Manage social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop marketing campaigns for social media and other platforms, present campaigns for collaboration, and manage implementation.
  • Manage and support team members in content creation, marketing campaigns, and social strategy for Factory Obscura brands, including MIX-TAPE and BONUS TRACK.
  • Interact with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts and email.
  • Coordinate content creation for all digital platforms (this includes MIX-TAPE & BONUS TRACK accounts), focused on marketing goals for the company, including but not limited to: brand and experience awareness, ticket sales, product/merchandise sales, news, events, and community engagement.
  • Create a digital marketing plan and social media strategy, identifying strategic weaknesses and taking action for improvements.
  • Produce press releases and media kits to promote special events and announcements, and distribute to local and regional media.
  • Promote company events online by creating event pages, submitting to media, email campaigns, etc.
  • Research trends and best practices in marketing, social technologies, new media, and relevant industries (i.e. immersive arts, themed entertainment, live performance, etc.)
  • Ensure that the Factory Obscura brand and identity is adhered to in campaigns, across communication channels, press releases, website, etc.
  • Some evening and weekends will be required, related to events.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing and speaking skills. Frequent copy writing and editing for marketing efforts. Manage relationships across departments, and with various partners and stakeholders.
  • Project Management Skills: Manage a budget, create timelines, and meet deadlines. You should be a strong planner and highly detail oriented.
  • Analytical Skills: Acquires data and analyzes the success of campaigns. Natural and proactive problem solving.
  • Creativity: Craft engaging content that aligns with Factory Obscura brand and engages followers. Ability to recognize good design and maintain consistent aesthetics.
  • Sense of Humor: Keeps a positive attitude and works well within a diverse team. Brings a personality and humor to brand voice across communication channels.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in using social media for marketing purposes and social media account/brand management
  • 3+ years experience leading a marketing and/or communications team
  • Proven track record of successfully maintaining brand social media accounts
  • Proven track record of successfully maintaining brand website, email, and online presence
  • Have a basic understanding of who Factory Obscura is and the company’s brand and voice
  • Must be 21 years of age or older

Bonus Skills (not required, but any of these would be nice to have)

  • Natural creativity, with experience in content and digital production (copywriting, photography, video, graphic design, etc)
  • Understanding of social media growth strategies and content trends
  • Experience in web design and maintenance (SquareSpace)
  • Experience in email marketing (MailChimp)
  • Experience in media outreach and/or public relations
  • Bilingual / Multilingual
