Oklahoma Museums Week To Be Celebrated March 17-23, 2024

OMA will once again celebrate all Oklahoma museums and cultural organizations during Oklahoma Museums Week March 17-23, 2024! Join our community to raise awareness on the cultural, economic and educational value that art museums, historical societies, historic sites, zoos, aquariums, science centers, botanical gardens, historic houses, natural history museums, children’s museums, heritage centers, living history museums, tribal cultural centers and museums have on our state and our world.

Governor Stitt has proclaimed March 17-23 as Oklahoma Museums Week. You can download the proclamation here.

Plan to be part of the online conversation by featuring a hashtag and theme for each day of the week. All museums and cultural institutions are encouraged to use the daily hashtag to post content surrounding their institution’s mission, programming, collection and exhibitions. We hope to educate connected audiences, stakeholders and policymakers, and encourage visitors to get out and explore Oklahoma during spring break and beyond.

OMA encourages all museums to invite their legislators and elected officials for a visit during the week.
